When I was in high school, I swear the soccer balls were attracted to me. One beautiful, Summer day during break time, we were walking on the field and my friends screamed, “Move!!!!” …. And of course Chanell MOVES in the direction OF THE BALL! Aai. And it landed on my head! 😐 Lol.
Then in first year of University, I walked straight into a glass door and every body on the other side, had such a good laugh! … Also, this happened while wearing my specs… Hopefully I’ve outgrown this by now..
So what is the point I am trying to bring across???? – LOOK UP, for goodness sake!
All of these minor events have taught me (the hard way) to keep my chin up and stop looking down (literally and figuratively).
So many things are happening around us and we miss them because we’re not looking in the right direction.
When you’re going through a tough time – chin up, sister (or brother)! I am not saying that you can’t feel sad, you must definitely feel your feelings, deal with them and not avoid them but DON’T walk around with your head hanging down with the world on your shoulders… In Romans 5:3-4, it says:
Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope.
Be hope-FULL 🙂
When was the last time you looked up at the ceiling while you’re in a mall, room, shop, office or theater?
… or looked up at the beautiful sky and birds on their own journey?
Do yourself a favour and look up. Open your eyes and enjoy the moment you’re part of right now. Breathe. Take it all in.
Here follows a few beautiful things that we would have missed if we hadn’t looked up:
Go forth and enjoy the beauty of nature 🙂
