The outside kitchen that will make your insides feel warm and happy

Calling ALL Foodies!

If you’re anything like me and love food trucks, outdoors, eating while chilling and rustic decor… Then the Street Kitchen is the place to visit on your next Foodie adventure!! Apart from the delicious, affordable food, it is also 2 doors away from our other favourite spot, Xpresso Coffee (Check out the post: Why Xpresso Makes The Perfect  Coffice in Cape Town). This is all happening in Wellington Street Durbanville.

Last week after my Neonatology End Of Block test and practical, 2 of my friends and I had lunch at The Street Kitchen. The service was great, the food was lovely AND STUDENT-BUDGET-FRIENDLY – just what we needed. The mist-sprinklers were unfortunately turned off due to water restrictions but nonetheless, my homemade red Iced Tea and their Oreo milkshakes (picture above) kept us chilled – literally and figuratively. I also loved the couches made of pallets and cushions… for that “maagies vol, ogies toe” moment 🙂

I enjoyed a Mexican party in my mouth with my Chicken Quesadilla served with Sour Cream , Guacomole and Salsa for only R45. Lauren and Ruary had a King burger each WITHOUT chips; and their tummies were filled and hearts were happy because they only payed R45!! Imagine that!

I will let the pictures below do the rest of the talking…

P.S: Perfect for student-couples or for those “friends” 😉
