Have you ever looked at someone and thought wow I would love to have her/his life?
We are often deceived by what’s in front of us and tend to confuse reality with fantasy. Just because people look happy doesn’t mean that they are, we’ve become so accustomed to what society’s norm is that there is no turning back.
Why is it that we always conform to the norm of society – it’s like we are too scared to be our own version of person? Why is it that we let others dictate how our lives should be or turnout? I mean “HU-MAN” up. You have the power to decide which way your life should go.
I believe that there are 2 types of people in this world – one that sits around and waits for things to happen and the other who gets up and makes things happen. So which one will you be?
People tend to think that because you have loads of money, you are rich but in reality, that’s not the case. You are truly rich when you have a loving family that supports you in everything that you do, friends that would drop everything when you need them. You can have all the money in the world and still be the poorest person on the planet because money doesn’t bring happiness, if anything, it could bring more burdens. However, I do acknowledge that money, in itself, is an important phenomenon in this world. My ideology is just that it does not define your richness, only your wealth.
“I can’t do this by myself” a phrase not commonly known to most people. We tend to think that we don’t need others and that we can do everything by ourselves. Truth is, we will always need people in our lives. That’s why, I believe, that it’s important to help and be kind to others because you never know when you might need someone.
The biggest challenge we face in life is being ourselves because we’re entrapped in a world which says that you have to fit the mould of everyone else. What I mean by that is that we are so set on pleasing others that we forget about ourselves and in the process we end up losing who we are, falling deeper and deeper into becoming someone we no longer recognise. Trust me getting back to who you truly are can be hard because you’ve become so comfortable in this bubble that doing or becoming anything different is scary and can take its toll on you.
Don’t allow the world to dictate who you are or should be!
